  • King of Soho

    United Kingdom | 42% abv | Dry | Main botanicals: Angelica, cassia, coriander, grapefruit peel,

    Distilled In the heart of London using 12 botanicals, this gin is attributed by Howard Raymond to his late father Paul who was known as the "King of Soho" for his influence in the London Night adult entertainment industry. Being in the erotica business led him to create many famous top-shelf magazines such as ‘Men Only’ and ‘Escort’. Paul Raymond, who died in 2008, and is remembered as a controversial figure in London’s rich history. Presented in a beautiful blue bottle with fox caricature, each element on the bottle is intended to be symbolic. The fox tail represents a clever, though mischievous and "naughty" urban nature, reminiscent of the crowds strolling through Soho on a Saturday night. The trumpet symbolises the history of jazz, once home to the area and the book honours the publishing houses founded by Paul Raymond.

  • Bulldog

    This quadruple-distilled gin is distributed in a head-turning black bottle, with bold sanserif typeface, and a studded bulldog collar which tells you that this is a gin that can stand on it's own two.. er.. four paws? It is often served on the rocks, but also goes well with a neutral or aromatic tonic. The gin has a rather sturdy floral aroma, heavy on the coriander and citrus. Combined with the Juniper-dominant flavour, this is a gin that is well rounded by its botanicals, which include lavender, licorice, poppy, almonds, lychee, and even lotus leaves! Developed in 2007 by a former investment banker, it's a London Dry that will certainly stand out wherever it makes an appearance.

  • Broken Heart

    Broken Heart Gin is a tribute to friendship. The story begins with Joerg Henkenhaf (a pilot) and Bernd Schnabel (an engineer), two German’s living in New Zealand, with similar distilling ideas, embarked upon a three year project distilling the perfect gin. Sadly, in 2012, Bernd became ill with a particularly ruthless strain of cancer and passed away, leaving Joerg heart broken. A few months later Joerg decided to share the gin they made with the world, and Broken Heart Gin was born as a tribute to friendship and as a reminder to share treasured moments with the ones you love.

  • Monkey 47

    Germany | 47% abv | Aromatic | Main botanicals: 47 botanicals, including cloves, lavender, 
    cranberries, pine needles, and peppers | Recommended Pairing: Lavender or Plum

    As the name implies, a mind-blowing 47 separate botanicals give this gin its juniper and citrus-dominant sweet floral aroma, which produce an unusually clean flavour for such a complex and full-flavoured gin. Half of the ingredients are sourced from the Black Forest in Germany, and include cloves, lavender, cranberries, pine needles, peppers and many others. The number 47 also refers to the 47% abv of the finished product, which is first made by Black Forest Distillers from the traditional British recipe for gin, then left to marinate in earthenware vats for 100 days. This gin is made by German distillers, and comes in a corked brown bottle, with a giant postage-stamp-like label featuring a monkey collecting botanicals.

    Elephant is a German made 45% abv gin with an elephant-sized heart! 10% of the profits from Elephant gin is donated to Space For Elephants, and the Big Life Foundation to save African wildlife. Elephant is made in Hamburg, but uses fruits and other botanicals indigenous to Africa such as Buchu, Baobab, devil's claw, and lion's tail (an African shrub… no actual lions are harmed in the making of Elephant!). Each 800 bottle batch of this single-distilled spicy and exotic gin is named after an Elephant it supports.

  • Adnams First Rate

  • Hayman’s Old Tom

    “Authentic Victorian Style of gin” Distilled to a family recipe from the 1870’s, its an authentic mark of English Victorian Heritage. Back in the Victorian days, the gins were not high quality, due to crude distillation techniques and a tendency  to cut the spirit with products like turpentine and sulphuric acid to increase profit margins, and sugar was added to make the tainted gin palatable. The public thus gained a taste for sweetened gin, and the style known as “old Tom” was born, named after the wooden cats that dispensed gin discreetly through the pub wall during prohibition times. With a hint of sweetness it delivers a more round and softer taste than the normal London Dry Gins, and fits in between the Dutch Genever and the London Dry.

  • Williams Sloe Mulberry Gin

    United Kingdom | 29% abv | Liqueur | Main botanicals: Mulberries, sloe berries, rosehips, black/redcurrant, figs | Recommended Pairing: Orange Slice 

    This gin is the result of Chase Distillery owner Williams pet project to revive the slow-growing mulberry tree in the hearts, minds, and palates of Britons everywhere. While the tree has fallen out of favour due to its low fruit yields and squishy difficult to handle berries, the sweet and moreish taste has never been more alive. Following the first frost, sloe berries are picked and marinaded for eight months with botanicals chosen to compliment that so  often forsaken mulberry flavour which is added to the mix for an additional two months before the mixture is distilled into a lovely 30% abv gin, sold and distributed in a signature purple bottle.

    As always, inspired by unique and decidedly British flavours, we have been busy marinating Herefordshire hedgerow sloe berries, picked after the first frost last November in a bespoke gin blend. -Williamschase.co.uk
